We are delighted to announce the opening of our new wraparound care offer. Many of you already take advantage of a place for your child in our Breakfast Club so, we are happy to tell you that on Monday 27th January 2025, we will be opening our own after school childcare provision, Wraparound @Silver Springs.
Wraparound @Silver Springs is available to parents who wish to pay for childcare from the end of the school day until 4.30 pm or 5.30 pm each day. The club will be run by support staff already employed at Silver Springs and therefore familiar to your child and all our school policies and procedures.
Each day the children will be provided with a healthy snack and a drink when they finish school, sometimes they will even be involved in making their own healthy snacks. There will be a range of activities on offer and we are even planning to provide some sports and dance so that the children in the club don’t miss out on other activities on offer in school.
They will have the opportunity to complete their homework and will be encouraged to do so, benefitting from qualified staff on hand to help. We know that children can be tired at the end of the day so there will also be time to chill out and maybe read or watch an age-appropriate programme on the big screen. Here is a draft outline timetable for the after- school club.

The base for Wraparound @Silver Springs will be in the Studio, but we will make use of the hall and outdoor spaces as well.
Together with our Breakfast Club this means that we will be able to offer full wraparound care for parents who need it from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm for school aged children. Unfortunately, we cannot offer places for Nursery aged pupils at the present time.
In terms of costings, we have tried to ensure that we can meet our staffing and running costs, whilst being as flexible as possible for parents. Prices are highly competitive and have been devised on a not-for-profit basis, please see the table below for the various rates per child per week.

In the same way that we do for Breakfast Club, we charge a weekly price per child, regardless of the number of days that your child attends. This way there is always a place for each registered child and the more they stay the better value it is for parents.
